The Humor List archives are being graciously hosted by Host995 Hi, everyone. This is Doug with the Annual Traffic Report for 2004 . Below the summary data for this year, I have included the corresponding data for last year, if it is available.

The total number of Subscribers has been gradually declining. We lost about 250 subscribers this year. If this does not change, in 12 years we will be down to nothing. On a good note, the number of Contributors has gained a little of 10 people. However, we are going to have to get more subscribers if we are going to prosper. Publicity helps. Every time the list is publicised, Subscibers increses. ANY PUBLICITY ANYONE CAN GIVE US WILL HELP!!

Since, I am not a real regular contributor, I will not be providing new Humor. Instead, I will provide a joke from the archives. It will be at least 14 months old, so most of you won't remember it. You will either see the joke below or a link to the joke, not the actual joke, although I will provide the Subject line (Topic). Since there are now HTML versions of all Digests, it will point to the joke itself. My contribution of Humor from the Archives:
    From: John M. Scheer
    Subject:Changing Professions

The banker was told by his doctor to quit his job and get a less
stressful one. So, after 25 years as a banker, he found himself pumping
gas. The first morning he opened for business, a customer drove in and
asked for ten gallons of gasoline.
"Where are you going?" the former banker asked.
"To Chicago and back," was the reply.
The banker looked at the man and said sternly, "Don't you think you can
    make it on five gallons?"
