Hi, everyone, this is Doug, with this month's traffic report. Once a month, during the first part of the month, I send the report to the entire HUMOR list. Welcome to the month of July, 2000.

I am going to make you work for the Contributions of Humor. The jokes themselves will not be shown, only the link. Follow the link if you want to see what the joke is. For more information on this, see the Contribution of Humor section.

Surprised you didn't I? Here it is only the 2nd and I have the Traffic Report. Hopefully I should have them more on time now.

Congratulations to the Contributors. For the first month in a long time, the number of jokes for the month is around the same as a year ago. Keep it up!

  • Terry was our Top Contributor once in the last seventeen months, but
has placed in the Top 3 the other months. Here is information about
    him, in his own words.

I am a very, proud, married Canadian. My wife and I have two kids
out of the home and two kids still at home (only for a bit....we
hope). I live in a city in southwestern Ontario and work in an
    administrative capacity for a medium-sized (15K undergraduates)
    university.

Working in a university environment means that I'm connected to the
internet constantly...even at home. It also means that e'mail/web is
a way of life, indeed even a necessity to communicate with my
colleagues, friends and family in various parts of North America and
the world. As a result, my sources for humour (did you notice the
spelling?) comes from a wide variety of sources. I enjoy reading and
sharing smiles with all of my HUMOR neighbours.

And finally, the one feature which has been featured in all
Traffic Reports, the contribution of Humor. Since, I am not a
real regular contributor, I will not be providing new Humor.
Instead, I will provide a joke from the archives. It will be at
least 14 months old, so most of you won't remember it. I
will only provide a link to the joke, not the actual joke, although I
will provide the Subject line (Topic). Since there are now HTML
versions of all Digests, it will point to the joke itself.

My contribution of Humor from the Archives:
